Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Folder/Gluer Machine Operator to join our team in the food packaging industry, specifically in the folding cartons sector. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience operating Folder/Gluer equipment, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and safe production of printed packaging in accordance with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation & Setup

• Operate, adjust, and monitor Folder/Gluer machinery.
• Set up equipment for new production runs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain steady feeding, precise folding, and consistent output.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during operation.

Quality Control

• Inspect and verify finished packaging for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Complete required quality checklists and documentation.
• Support ISO standards and quality improvement initiatives.

Safety & Cleanliness

• Comply with all OHSE (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment) policies and procedures.
• Properly use and maintain PPE and safety lifting equipment.
• Follow protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Team Leadership & Communication

• Oversee and support General Technicians on the production line.
• Provide training and guidance to crew members.
• Conduct team meetings and communicate performance expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and management in a professional, respectful manner.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of Folder/Gluer operation experience in the food packaging industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and math skills (e.g., weights, percentages, measurements).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb, kneel, and lift (30+ lbs) for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity (close/distance/depth/peripheral vision).
• Must be available to rotate shifts and work overtime as needed.
