Job summary

District Taco in Alexandria, VA is looking for enthusiastic Team Members to join our Front of House and Back of House teams. We welcome all skill levels and provide training to help you deliver the guest experiences our guests expect from us.

Core duties include greeting guests, assisting with the menu, answering phones, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting teammates. You should be physically active, able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English.
• Motivation with a strong sense of self-responsibility.
• Able to maintain cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Capability to deliver outstanding customer service on a consistent basis.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and assisting those waiting or needing help.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms and patios.
• Assisting guests with the menu and noting dietary needs.
• Resolving guest service issues with manager support.
• Answering restaurant phones and taking occasional orders.
• Supporting fellow Team Members as needed.
• Organizing storage areas and unpacking shipments to rotate stock.
• Washing equipment and small-wares items.

Core Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests of District Taco and seeking out those who are waiting or need assistance
• Keeping a positive attitude and healthy enthusiasm for interactions with guests
• Assisting guests with the menu and altering them to potential dietary conflicts
• Resolving customer service issues with the aid of your manager
• Answering restaurant phones and taking the occasional phone order
• Providing support to your fellow Team Members whenever needed
• Maintaining the cleanliness and care of our lobby, restrooms, and patios
• Organizing of storage areas and unpacking shipments to maintain proper rotation
• The washing of equipment and small-wares items
• Bringing food to customers/expo stuff

Qualifications:

• P roficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
• High level of motivation and sense of self-responsibility
• Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basis
• Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
• Stand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hours
• Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body
• Coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
• Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects for long periods without getting tired
• Lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
• Work efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g. refrigerated areas, close to cooking
