Esquire is a modern luxury steakhouse on Oak Street in Chicago’s Gold Coast. The General Manager’s right hand, the AGM, runs the floor operations, builds schedules, and ensures flawless service, while leading logistics and daily execution across shifts.

The role requires 3+ years of FOH supervisory experience in upscale dining, strong familiarity with Toast and SevenRooms, and a focus on reliable shift execution and staff development. Chicago-based, salaried role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years FOH supervisory or management experience in upscale dining.
• Hands‑on with Toast and SevenRooms (or equivalents); strong scheduling discipline.
• Track record of reliable shift execution and developing hourly team members.
• Illinois BASSET (alcohol) — REQUIRED.
• Illinois Food Handler — REQUIRED.
• CFPM recommended for on‑duty coverage.
• Allergen Awareness (manager) — REQUIRED with CFPM.

Responsibilities

• Run service shifts as manager-on-duty; set up and close down the dining room to standard.
• Own scheduling, side-work assignments, par-stocking, and daily floor readiness.
• Own systems and logistics: POS, reservations, sequencing, and the operational checklists.
• Manage reservations flow and VIP coordination with the host team and SevenRooms.
• Execute hiring logistics, onboarding, and the two-week training program alongside People Operations.
