Job summary

Blair Hill Inn, a Relais & Châteaux property in Maine, seeks a Front of House Supervisor/Manager to lead the fine dining restaurant’s front of house and guest experience under the Executive Chef. You will direct all FOH activities, train staff, manage schedules, and uphold service standards.

Required are 5+ years in restaurant supervision/management and serving, with knowledge of wine and spirits; competitive salary; shared housing available; confidential handling per EEO guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant supervisor/management experience.
• 5+ years of serving experience.
• Knowledge of wine and spirits desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current and accurate standard operating procedures for service and payments.
• Train staff to follow and maintain serving standards.
• Provide excellent service to guests.
• Prepare and adjust work schedules to meet customer service standards.
• Organize regular training and meetings with staff.
• Oversee New Hire selection, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Guide compliance with state health regulations.
• Control front of house operating expenses per weekly projections.
• Ensure adherence to beverage controls.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
