  • Check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
  • Help reduce cost by minimizing waste and overproduction.
  • Utilize leftovers appropriately.
  • Report food shortages, outdated items or unacceptable products.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a FNS Assistant to join our Food Services team. You would perform a variety of food services for the patients. You would also perform cleaning and dish room duties as well as other related cleaning tasks. You would join a team that cares like family and always works in a collaborative manner.

  • Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
  • Always prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets.
  • Consistently cover, label, and date foods and stores them properly according to procedures.
  • Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.)
  • Always prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements. Restock as needed.
  • Always check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
  • Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production.
  • Act in a cost conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately.
  • Promptly report food shortages, outdated items or any products received in an unacceptable condition.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some kitchen experience is desirable
