Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Food Services Assistant to support daily food preparation, serve meals to visitors, staff and patients, and assist with dishwashing and stocking. You will help assemble patient trays according to menu directives and maintain safety standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to sanitation practices, and contributing to a positive patient and staff dining experience.

• Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• Assist with food stocking.
• Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
• Work in the dish room when needed.
• Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
