Job summary

Flux Core Welders & Fitters in Fulton, MS is seeking skilled welders to perform FCAW, MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural steel and pipes. Read blueprints, fit components, and operate shop equipment to support timely project completion.

Ideal candidates will read technical drawings, have strong welding skills across processes, basic measurement abilities, and a safety-minded, team-focused mindset for a busy fabrication shop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Flux Core Welder or Structural Fitter.
• Strong FCAW welding skills; MIG, TIG, and Stick welding preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience with structural steel, pipe fitting, or ductwork is a plus.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW (Flux Core), MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural steel, pipe, and metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Fit, align, and assemble components prior to welding.
• Operate fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, press brakes, and other shop machinery.
• Measure and inspect materials using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Assist with rigging and safely move materials using cranes and forklifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with team members to complete projects on schedule.
