Job description

Talent Space is seeking a Flutter Software Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Flutter development and mobile app technologies, with a proven track record of delivering apps to Google Play or the App Store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and scale mobile applications using Flutter.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, back-end developers) to define, design, and ship new features.
3. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
4. Identify and fix bugs and bottlenecks.
5. Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
6. Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks.
7. Integrate machine learning models and AI services into mobile applications.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience building mobile applications with Flutter.
2. Proficiency in Dart and Flutter best practices.
3. Understanding of mobile architecture (BLoC, Provider, etc.).
4. Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
5. Familiarity with native development (Swift, Kotlin, Java).
6. Experience with state management, animations, and custom UI components in Flutter.
7. Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and Agile methodologies.
8. Experience with AI models in mobile apps (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, Core ML) is preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Flutter Driver, Appium).
• Experience with other mobile technologies like React Native or native development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase, Google Cloud) and backend tech.
• Experience with web frontend (React, Angular) or backend services (Node.js, Python).
• Experience with AI model deployment in mobile apps.

This project is expected to last several months, with the possibility of conversion to full-time employment.
