Job summary

Suburban Radiologists, SC in Illinois seeks a Registered Radiology Assistant to support fluoroscopic procedures and patient care across multiple hospital sites. This full-time, daytime role emphasizes collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to optimize schedules and improve throughput.

You will handle pre/post-care, obtain informed consent, and participate in a range of image-guided interventions, with strict adherence to privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT RRA certification (or eligible and actively pursuing certification).
• Active Illinois licensure (or eligibility) for advanced radiology practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel between Bolingbrook, GlenOaks, LaGrange, and Hinsdale sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluoroscopic procedures under radiologist supervision (e.g., upper GI, swallow studies, arthrograms).
• Conduct patient evaluations, obtain informed consent, provide pre- and post-procedure care and education.
• Collaborate with supervising radiologists to review images and optimize schedules.
• Support additional procedures as competency is demonstrated (joint injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis).
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with radiation safety and dept. protocols.
• Work with technologists, nurses, and care teams to deliver efficient, patient-centered services.
• Serve as primary scheduling liaison for hospital sites.
