Job summary

Cognitioworld is seeking a summer intern in Oshkosh, WI to assist design and development teams with mechanical engineering tasks. You will help develop component designs, run failure analyses, and support testing across prototype and production builds.

Qualified students should be pursuing Mechanical Engineering (undergrad or grad) and be willing to travel or relocate for Summer 2027. Housing may be available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the summer 2027 internship.
• Interest in Fluid Power (hydraulics and/or pneumatics)

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers with mechanical engineering tasks in Design or R&D teams.
• Develop component and system designs and determine failure trends.
• Perform failure analysis and support vehicle component and performance testing.
• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CATIA, CREO, or other CAD software.
• Select components considering weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
