Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, California invites you to join the Fluid Components team as a summer internship on-site. You will work with mentors to apply your engineering knowledge toward developing second-generation devices for future missions.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an aerospace/mechanical program with a 3.0+ GPA and at least 3 months of applied engineering experience. Relocation stipend may be offered; full-time on-site for 12 weeks expected.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical or Mechanical Engineering with at least one semester remaining.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or personal/project work).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a mentor and department to apply knowledge and grow technically and professionally.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced group to solve real engineering challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors to track progress and learning.
• Engage in tech talks and network with interns and employees at events.
