Amentum in Richland, WA, is seeking a chemical/Materials engineer to support the Flowsheet Integration group at the Hanford Vit Plant. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and System Engineers to manage batch chemistry, glass formulation, and data quality objectives in a high-hazard environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field and at least two years of professional experience, with preference for DOE/DOD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related science or engineering field from an accredited college or university is required.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience. Experience in processing facilities, DOE facilities, or DOD facilities preferred. Must have a minimum of 1 year job related experience per DOE O 426.2.
• Preferred experience includes chemical processing facilities, process flow diagrams, material balances, chemical processes, glasses or ceramics, statistics or statistical analysis.

Responsabilités

• Support commissioning, operations, and maintenance of the WTP Facilities.
• Develop, review, concur with and/or assess engineering technical documents.
• Develop, review, concur with and/or assess management control procedures, technical procedures, or guides.
• Provide on-site technical support for flowsheet, sampling, batch processing, glass formulation, process control, data quality objectives, and product compliance topics.
• Interface with external organizations to resolve technical issues.
• Resolve condition report issues or other similar discrepancies as assigned.
• Assist with resolution of issues necessary to support plant operations and/or maintenance.
• Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality.
