Responsibilities

• Create floral arrangements for everyday sales, events, weddings, and custom orders.
• Manage day-to-day shop operations including opening/closing, inventory, and vendor orders.
• Lead, schedule, and support shop staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintain fresh flower and plant inventory with quality control.
• Assist customers in selecting arrangements, plants, and gifts with expert floral advice.
• Oversee merchandising and displays to keep the shop attractive and sales-ready.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, pricing, and basic bookkeeping tasks.

Pernas Plant & Flower Shop Inc is looking for a talented and passionate Flower Shop Designer & Manager to join our team in Princeton, NJ! Responsibilities:

• Create stunning floral arrangements and designs for everyday sales, special events, weddings, and custom orders
• Manage day-to-day shop operations including opening/closing, inventory, and vendor orders
• Lead, schedule, and support shop staff to ensure excellent customer service
• Maintain fresh flower and plant inventory, ensuring quality control and proper care
• Assist customers in selecting arrangements, plants, and gifts while providing expert floral advice
• Oversee merchandising and visual displays to keep the shop attractive and sales-ready
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, pricing, and basic bookkeeping tasks

Requirements:

• Proven experience in floral design,minimum of 3 years
• Prior retail or shop management experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, and seasonal availability
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead a small team and manage daily operations independently
• Creative eye for design, color, and arrangement aesthetics
• Physical ability to lift, stand, and work in a fast-paced shop environment
