Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The role operates Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm and focuses on specimen screening, testing, and quality control to support patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology and have at least 1 year of flow cytometry experience, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry.
• General knowledge in Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Hematology.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
