Job summary

University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Richardson lab. The Fellow will support ongoing projects focusing on flow cytometry and imaging technologies, maintain equipment, and assist with publications.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or related field, experience in lab protocol development, and strong data analysis and communication skills. Preference for lipid/ nanoparticle formulations, genomics prep, and training new users.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Previous experience in laboratory setting and protocol development.
• Demonstrated publications and excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stocks, resources, and equipment in the lab and related department equipment.
• Keep informed of recent advances in the field.
• Supervise junior researchers in a program of investigation with supervisor.
• Evaluate methods and relate evaluations to own work.
• Publish or present research results.
• Supervise junior researchers as appropriate.
• Maintain professional development and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Train others in flow cytometry and related bioimaging equipment.
• Analyze and interpret flow cytometry and bioimaging data.
• Maintain autoclaves for compliant usage.
