Job summary

UNC Charlotte is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biological Sciences to support ongoing laboratory projects and assist with flow cytometry and Imagestream training.

The appointee will work under a regular faculty member, contributing to data collection, analysis, and training of students and staff in advanced fluorescence imaging techniques.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry or related discipline.
• Experience in molecular biology and nanoparticle formulations is valued.
• Experience with genomics/transcriptomics sample prep, equipment usage and analysis is desirable.
• Experience using flow cytometry and related fluorescence bio-imaging techniques and ability to train new users.

Job description

The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision of a regular faculty member and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work to support ongoing projects in the laboratory, and support additional projects and training needs of flow cytometry and Imagestream for the department.

Required Qualifications:

• The appointee must have Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in molecular biology, lipid or other nanoparticle formulations with loaded and conjugated payloads will be particularly considered.
• Experience in genomics/transcriptomics sample prep, equipment usage, and analysis will be particularly considered.
• Experience using flow cytometry and related fluorescence bio-imaging techniques with ability to maintain equipment and train new users.
