Job summary

Vesuvius North America is seeking a senior leader to manage the Flow Control Systems Engineering Department in Champaign, Illinois. You will oversee project management, design reviews and the release of products from R&D to support customer installations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10+ years in manufacturing or industrial settings, and at least 3 years with Vesuvius or a similar steel-industry company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Prefer 10+ years in manufacturing or industrial field.
• 3 years experience with Vesuvius or similar steel industry related company.

Responsibilities

• Plan, delegate and review departmental assignments for engineers.
• Assign and monitor design and adaptation of mechanical equipment for feasibility studies and installations.
• Oversee product release from R&D including design review, options and manuals.
• Provide technical assistance to Project Managers and Sales Regions regarding product applications, scope of supply, installation and servicing.
• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Q.C., Purchasing and Suppliers.
• Travel up to 15% of time.
