Job description

This position is for a talented and creative Florist Assistant to join our busy flower shop in Los Angeles

As a Florist Assistant you will work closely with the head florist to assist in creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings birthdays and other special events

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the floral industry and possess strong design skills Additionally fluency in English is required for this role

Responsibilities

• Assist the head florist in creating floral arrangements according to clients requests
• Prepare and arrange flowers for display and sale
• Maintain inventory of flowers and other supplies needed for daily operations
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and taking orders from customers
• Help with processing payments and managing transactions
• Keep the shop clean organized and visually appealing at all times
• Train new employees on floral design techniques and customer service procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a florist or floral assistant
• Proficient in English verbal and written
• Strong design skills with an eye for color texture and composition
• Knowledge of different types of flowers and their care requirements
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards customers
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekendseveningsholidays as needed

Salary $1700 per month
