Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Water Engineering Director for the Florida region, based in Orlando with a hybrid work arrangement. This executive role leads the water/wastewater/stormwater practice, driving growth, client relationships, and project oversight within a multidisciplinary engineering firm.

The candidate will mentor teams, lead business development, and shape regional and national growth initiatives while supporting recruiting and career development across the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Florida PE license (or ability to obtain).
• 15+ years of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater consulting experience.
• Proven success leading teams, winning work, and managing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of Florida water infrastructure markets and regulations.
• Established industry relationships preferred.
• Experience working with Florida municipalities and state organizations in a consulting capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Florida water, wastewater, and stormwater practice.
• Develop and mentor engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
• Drive business development efforts, pursuits, and proposal strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
• Provide executive oversight for major water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with leadership on regional and national growth initiatives.
• Support recruiting, succession planning, and team expansion.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field

PE license in Florida (or ability to obtain)

15+ years of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater consulting experience
