Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Business Group Manager to lead our 300+ Florida team across North, Central, and Southwest Florida. You will oversee staff development, project delivery, profitability, and marketing support while coordinating services with HDR's broader capabilities.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in transportation engineering, strong leadership, and established client relationships in Florida.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams and managing multi-disciplinary staff.
• Active engagement in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Florida transportation business group including staff development, project delivery, profitability, workload, morale, quality control, and marketing support.
• Provide technical direction and services; supervise, mentor staff; manage projects and client pursuits.
• Serve as a principal on projects and coordinate services across HDR lines with other sections.
• Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets; monitor performance; pursue projects aligned with staff strengths.
• Select, train and develop technical personnel; lead multi-discipline teams.
• Coordinate with Regional and National Directors and other business lines.
