Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Business Group Manager to lead our 300+ Florida team spanning North, Central, and Southwest Florida. You will oversee operations, staff development, project delivery, profitability, workload, morale, quality control, and marketing support, coordinating services with other lines.

Minimum 10 years in transportation engineering, a professional registration, and established Florida client relationships are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years experience
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
• Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Lead staff development, project delivery, profitability, workload, morale, quality control, and marketing support for the Florida Transportation Business Group
• Function as a principal on projects and coordinate services across service lines with other HDR sections
• Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitor performance, and pursue project opportunities that match staff interests and skill sets
• Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel; lead multi-discipline teams
• Work with Regional and National Directors to coordinate services with other HDR business lines
