Job summary

HDR’s Florida Transportation Business Group seeks a manager to lead 300+ staff across North, Central and Southwest Florida. You’ll oversee operations, staff development, project delivery, profitability, workload, morale, quality control and marketing support.

You’ll act as a project principal, guide multi-discipline teams, develop forecasts, and win projects aligned to staff strengths. HDR’s employee‑owned culture underpins all work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience in transportation engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership of diverse teams.
• Committed to quality, HDR values and professional ethics.
• Active engagement in professional associations to enhance HDR expertise.
• Ability to work with regional and local office managers and directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Florida transportation business group in staff development, project delivery, profitability, workload, morale, quality control, and marketing support.
• Function as a principal on projects and coordinate services across service lines.
• Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets; drive project wins matching staff expertise.
• Select, train, and manage technical personnel; lead multi-discipline teams.
• Collaborate with Regional and National Directors and align with HDR strategies.
