Job summary
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Florida-licensed PE to serve as Threshold Engineer / Special Inspector for projects in Tallahassee or Panama City Beach, FL. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Current and active Florida PE license in good standing.
- Experience in structural engineering and/or structural field inspection of threshold buildings per Florida requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the licensed Special Inspector of Threshold Buildings for assigned projects in Florida.
- Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and Special Inspection Plans.
- Perform periodic site visits to verify construction conforms to documents and plans.
- Provide technical guidance to SIARs and oversee inspection personnel.
- Prepare and seal Threshold Inspection reports and final documentation.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers of Record, contractors, owners, and officials.
- Mentor field inspectors and support business development.
