Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers in Tallahassee is seeking a Government Relations Support role to monitor and analyze legislative activities for the statewide association.

The position involves drafting amendments, preparing talks and reports, and coordinating with the Deputy Director of Government Relations during the annual legislative session, with extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with federal, state, and local government processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication and editing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during legislative sessions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and summarize the Association’s yearly legislative agenda.
• Support FCCC bill analyses and drafting amendments.
• Provide support to Legislative Committee and workgroups.
• Review, track, and report bills impacting Clerk operations.
• Develop post-session advisories for Clerk offices.
• Conduct legislative research and prepare reports and presentations.
• Serve on committees and task forces as needed.
• Edit outgoing documents and communications, ensuring clarity.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel for conferences and events as required.
• Perform other duties and comply with policies.
