Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers-Civitek seeks a Government Relations Analyst to support legislative services and advocacy in Tallahassee. This role monitors and analyzes federal, state, and local government activities for the Association and Clerks of Court.

The position involves drafting amendments and bills, preparing reports and talking points, and providing research and presentations to the Clerk offices and related committees during the legislative session.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local government structures.
• Experience with Florida legislative processes preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, editing, and time-management skills.
• Ability to interpret statutes, rules, and precedents.
• Ability to draft legislative language and analyze bills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to extended hours during legislative session.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, analyze, and summarize the Association's yearly legislative agenda.
• Provide staff support for bill analyses and drafting amendments and bills.
• Support Legislative Committee and workgroups.
• Review, track, and report on bills and issues impacting Clerk operations.
• Assist with Clerk operational issues from new or amended legislation.
• Develop reports, talking points, PowerPoint materials, and other materials for the legislative agenda.
• Edit and create outgoing documents and communications as needed.
• Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
