Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Defect Lawyer in Florida to join our team and represent Owners, Developers, Contractors, Design Professionals, and insurers in complex disputes from inception through resolution.

The ideal candidate will bring a J.D. from an accredited law school, Florida Bar admission, 2+ years of construction litigation experience, and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Florida Bar admission.
• 2+ years of experience handling construction defect or construction litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of Florida construction defect statutes and related case law.
• Experience with expert‑intensive litigation and technically complex matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle construction defect matters involving residential, multifamily, commercial, and mixed‑use projects.
• Represent clients in state and federal court litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Draft and respond to construction defect notices, pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert reports.
• Analyze construction contracts, plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Work with industry experts, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Conduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on risk management, claim evaluation, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex, multi‑party construction disputes.
• Assist with client development and maintain strong client relationships.
