Job summary

Osceola County Government in Florida is seeking a Corrections Officer to direct, supervise and monitor inmates in the Osceola Correctional facility, ensuring safety, order and compliance with policies. Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain current Florida State Corrections Certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to work all shifts and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and monitor inmates within the detention facility and during transport.
• Enforce order and discipline; observe housing, job and program assignments.
• Perform rounds and inspections to ensure security, safety and sanitation.
• Maintain fire safety, key control and perimeter security; transport inmates as directed.
• Attend defensive tactics training, firearm qualifications and first aid/CPR training.
