Job summary

Kinard-Stone, Inc. (KSI) seeks a CEI Senior Project Engineer to lead CEI services for transportation projects in Florida.

You will directly influence project delivery, client service, and staff development, working with owners and senior leadership to staff projects and grow the CEI practice. The SPE will guide teams, manage budgets and schedules, review change orders and payments, and coordinate with clients, utilities, and permitting agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida, or ability to obtain by endorsement within contract timeframe.
Minimum of six years of engineering experience, including at least two years on transportation projects.
Experience with highway, roadway, bridge, or transportation construction projects.
Knowledge of FDOT construction specifications, standards, procedures, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

Serve in responsible charge of CEI services for assigned transportation construction projects.
Lead Project Administrators, inspectors, engineers, and CEI personnel.
Provide technical direction and independent engineering judgment on construction issues.
Monitor contracts, schedules, budgets, and staffing; review CPM updates.
Oversee inspection, materials testing, documentation, and quality activities.
Mentor CEI staff and shape staffing plans with KSI leadership.
Develop strategies for pursuing FDOT, county, and municipal CEI opportunities.
