Job summary

Bilu Law in Pompano Beach, FL seeks an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney / Civil Litigation Associate to manage a full caseload from intake to hearings. You will advise debtors on Chapter 7 options, draft petitions, negotiate with creditors, and appear at hearings and meetings of creditors.

We require 5–10 years of civil litigation, Florida Bar admission, and the ability to work on-site with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of civil litigation experience required.
• Bar membership in Florida required.
• Experience with bankruptcy, real estate, and civil litigation matters is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Pompano Beach, FL.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation cases related to real estate, business, and bankruptcy from inception to trial.
• Create case and litigation strategies as needed.
• Communicate with supervising attorneys and clients to provide status updates.
• Review conditions precedent to filing including documents and notices.
• Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate actions.
• Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; ensure compliance with foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related rules.
