Job summary

Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. seeks a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join its growing bankruptcy practice in Florida.

The ideal candidate will represent creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters and possess strong research and writing skills while developing a practice within an established, collaborative firm. This role offers opportunities to handle substantive bankruptcy matters, gain courtroom exposure, and work with experienced attorneys serving

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• 2–5 years of legal experience, preferably in bankruptcy litigation or creditors' rights.
• Familiarity with the US Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and court practices.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a legal team.

Responsibilities

• Represent creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings.
• Draft and prosecute motions for relief from stay and related pleadings.
• Review petitions, schedules, and plans to protect creditors' interests.
• Handle contested matters and litigation related to creditors' rights.
• Attend and argue motions in bankruptcy court and related proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, and briefs.
• Evaluate bankruptcy strategies and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff for case management.
• Maintain client communication on case developments and strategy.
• Monitor developments in bankruptcy law and local court requirements.
