Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a skilled urban planning professional to provide programmatic, technical, and stakeholder support for FDOT leadership on emerging aviation initiatives, including AAM and UAS. Travel across Florida and related project delivery coordination are expected.

The role focuses on research, data-driven planning, and development of briefs, reports, and presentations, collaborating with agencies, airports, and industry partners to advance transportation innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 4 years related professional experience, or Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in urban planning, transportation planning, or related fields.
• Proficient with GIS and data analysis for planning projects.

Responsibilities

• Research data sources, gathers data, and conducts analysis of data for use in projects.
• Identifies planning and analysis strategies using GIS or transportation software to manipulate data, assess scenarios, and perform project analysis.
• Leads preparation of maps, exhibits, and presentation materials for projects.
• Participates in public process and stakeholder facilitation.
• Writes major sections of and leads production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents.
