Job summary

Curio Wellness is seeking a Floriculture Associate to support the maintenance, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medical cannabis. Daily tasks include propagating, transplanting, pruning, watering, and harvesting in the grow rooms, with a focus on plant health and process discipline.

You will work in a team to ensure GMP/GAP standards, keep a clean, organized nursery, and participate in continuous improvement efforts while following state requirements in Maryland and Missouri.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial agricultural experience in a greenhouse or nursery.
• Knowledge of controlled greenhouse environments.
• Follow protocols and willingness to learn new skills.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Effective time management and teamwork.
• Knowledge of MD/MO DHSS regulations preferred.
• Strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health of medical cannabis plants and assist in propagation, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting.
• Assist in watering, feeding, spacing, grading, and potting operations.
• Support nursery upkeep and 5S practices.
• Scout for plant pests and assist in irrigation and application schedules.
• Follow GMP/GAP standards and maintain a clean work environment.

Job description

The Floriculture Associate performs manual labor to assist in the maintenance, upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medicinal cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, pruning, propagating, transplanting, cleaning, and harvesting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The ideal candidate will embrace a mindset of Extreme Ownership, taking full responsibility for their contributions and driving positive outcomes.
• The Grower will be responsible for assisting in daily activities as they pertain to maintaining the health of medical cannabis plants.
• Work time expectation: 60% of the time will be spent working with plants in the grow rooms propagating, transplanting, moving, pruning, spacing, grading, watering, potting, harvesting, and loading cannabis plants. 30% of time will be spent doing general duties around the nursery as they relate to the upkeep of the nursery, including 5s. 10% will be spent on continuous improvement.

• General duties around the nursery as they relate to the upkeep of the nursery, including 5s.
• Scout for plant pests.
• Assist in Irrigation and application schedules.
• Follow and uphold GMP/GAP standards.
• Manage medical cannabis plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ability to execute techniques consistently

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior commercial agricultural experience in a greenhouse or nursery

Education And Experience

High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 2+ years of experience working in a greenhouse/nursery environment or a related horticultural field; or combination of education and experience.
