Job summary

The Design Haus is seeking a Floral Operations Specialist to support inventory control, event strikes, and occasional setups in Lago Vista, TX. This part-time role requires strong organizational skills and reliable transportation.

You will safely pack and transport inventory, ensure quality standards, and assist with safety compliance and logistics for wedding/event operations, with late-night strike shifts common. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 30+ pounds are required.

Job Overview

The Floral Operations Specialist at The Design Haus plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and success of every event. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory standards, executing event strikes and possible event setups, and collaborating closely with the Operations Lead. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where excellence is non-negotiable. Most of the shift will be late nights for strike.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Handling + Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure inventory is organized, maintained, and meets The Design Haus’s quality standards. Implement and monitor quality control procedures for installations and event execution. Organize inventory for efficiency and accessibility.
• Event Execution (Set-Up / Strike):
  • Safely pack, transport, and set up inventory and designs and remove them after an event. Recover and organize items after events.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for all staff and oversee the proper handling of flowers and equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of floral design and the wedding/event industry (a plus)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive delivery vans/box truck
• Have reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry 30+ pounds
• Ability to stand for an extended period
