Job summary

Walters Hospitality in Montgomery, TX is seeking energetic Event Strike Team Members to assist with tear-down, recovery, and venue clean-up after weekend weddings and events.

You will dismantle decor, floral installations, furniture, and rentals, pack and load for transport, and ensure inventory returns to the warehouse safely and efficiently.

Night shifts with open availability on Fridays–Sundays; competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Open availability for late nights, Fridays–Sundays (some day shifts available)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; comfortable driving cargo vans at night
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Ability to work quickly under tight timelines while maintaining safety and quality
• Strong organizational skills and neat packing/stocking of inventory
• Positive attitude and clear communication; willing to help team as needed

Responsibilities

• Late-Night Teardown: dismantle floral installations, decor, structures and rentals per standards
• Packing & Loading: pack fragile items, load vehicles securely for transport
• Driving & Transport: drive cargo vans or similar vehicles at night to venues and warehouse
• Inventory & Cleanup: unload, sweep, and return items to the warehouse in order
• Speed & Teamwork: work swiftly with teammates to meet venue exit deadlines

Job Overview

We are seeking energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Event Strike Team Members to assist with the tear-down, recovery, and venue clean-up following our weekend weddings and special events. This position is ideal for night owls who thrive in fast-paced environments, work well on a team, and enjoy physical, hands-on work. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all event decor, floral arrangements, furniture, and rental inventory are safely dismantled, cleaned, loaded, and returned to our warehouse organized and ready for the next event.

Key Responsibilities

• Late-Night Teardown: Arrive at event venues post event to swiftly and safely dismantle floral installations, decor, structures, and rentals according to company standards.
• Packing & Loading: Safely pack fragile items, load trucks/vans efficiently, and secure inventory for transport back to the warehouse or shop.
• Driving & Transport: Drive delivery vehicles or cargo vans at night to and from various event locations and the main warehouse (if applicable).
• Inventory & Cleanup: Unload trucks, sweep/clean venue spaces as required by site contracts, and return inventory to its designated warehouse location in an organized, tidy manner.
• Speed & Teamwork: Work quickly alongside team members to tear down one or more events in accordance with the exit deadlines of the venue while maintaining high standards of care for all items.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Schedule Availability: Must have open availability to work late nights (cleaning and organizing day shifts are available as well but the majority of shifts will be in the evening on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (other days of the week are available if interested)).
• Valid Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be comfortable driving cargo vans or small box trucks at night.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs comfortably and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Speed & Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to work fast under tight timelines without sacrificing safety or quality.
• Clean & Organized: Strong organizational skills with a clean, methodical approach to packing and storing inventory.
• Team Player: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to step in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
