Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a floral team member for our Spokane Valley location. You will listen to customers, assist with bouquets, restock the floral area, and display flowers to create memorable shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

We stock the freshest ingredients alongside a wide selection of groceries that cater to every taste and preference. What You’ll Do:
  • Listen to customers to gain a thorough understanding of what they need
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers
  • Examine sales floor to ensure floral department is well-stocked
  • Order flowers, plants, and other greenery for use.
  • Receiving shipments, and then snipping and displaying our flowers.
  • Creating beautiful and stunning bouquets and floral arrangements.
  • Advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of floral arrangements.
  • Maintain inventory levels of floral department and restock as needed
  • Ensure that flowers and plants are properly watered and stored to prevent wilting.
  • Foster a productive working environment.
  • Motivate and inspire staff while facilitating personal growth.
  • Set strategic long and short-term goals and evaluate outcomes.
  • Guarantee the highest levels of quality are met.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in the floral industry.
  • Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.

Requirements
  • Candidates must be 18+ years or older
  • Complete a pre-employment background check
  • Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques
  • Acutely familiar with plants' nutritional needs and life spans.
These qualifications will help you stand out
  • Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles and flower conditioning.
  • Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
