Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a floral clerk to provide friendly customer service, stock and display plants, and assist with orders and deliveries. The role includes handling flowers, creating corsages, operating the cash terminal, and maintaining store cleanliness.

The position requires reliable attendance and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; training will be provided at store level, with seasonal outdoor stocking as needed.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Receive and process merchandise and stock floral displays.
• Know proper care of flowers and plants and their names.
• Create bows, corsages, and boutonnieres for occasions.
• Operate a cash terminal and handle cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Take orders for pickup or delivery and assist with FTD orders.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures and clean work areas.

Responsibilities

• Display plants and flowers with clear signs and arrange fresh flowers.
• Water and attend to flowers and plants; unpack bedding plants seasonally.
• Package and wrap fresh flowers for customers.
• Assist customers on the phone and in person with orders.
• Unload bedding plants and place on racks outside the store as needed.
• Abide by store management directives and complete other duties as assigned.
