Job summary

Kroger Floral Department is seeking a detail-oriented associate in Kentucky to assist in designing and merchandising floral items, help customers, and process orders. You will greet customers, suggest items, and package orders while keeping the department neat and stocked for display and sale.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is expected, with on-the-job training provided to support customer-focused service goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and merchandising of floral items and arrangements for display/sale or in response to customer requests.
• Provide various customer services and greet customers promptly with great service.
• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas and maintain clean, safe floors.
• Maintain customer records and files properly and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures and handle payments.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
