Job summary

ShopRite of Wall in Wall Township, NJ is seeking a Floral Clerk to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Floral Department; to maintain a neat, clean and visually appealing department and to perform other tasks as required in a safe and efficient manner, within Company policy.

The role requires good English, basic math, ability to stand all shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and friendly teamwork in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with products and handle duties safely.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards (e.g., balloons, shelving, cleanup).
• Greet customers and assist with pricing, stocking, and displaying merchandise.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and price marking products.
• Differentiate between types of flowers/plants and related merchandise.
• Keep display cases stocked and clearly signed; present merchandise attractively.
• Handle damaged products per policy and control damaged goods."
• Unload trucks and move merchandise to the Floral Department up to 50 lbs.
• Check refrigeration and equipment regularly and report issues.
• Perform duties per ShopRite safety, QA, and service priorities.
