Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Floral Clerk in New Jersey to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Floral Department. The role includes maintaining a neat, clean, and visually appealing department in compliance with Company policies.

Responsibilities include pricing, stocking, wrapping, and assisting customers, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and productivity in the Floral Service area.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department sanitation and QA standards in Floral Department.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service; price, wrap, and display merchandise.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and restocking products to ensure quality and rotation.
• Be knowledgeable about flowers and plants and related merchandise.
