Job summary

ShopRite of WHARTON in WHARTON, NJ is seeking a Floral Clerk to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Floral Department. You will maintain a neat, clean, visually appealing area and perform tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires English literacy, basic math, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long shifts, and work with fresh and specialty products. The team values safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills required.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Lift 25–50 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Price, stock and rotate merchandise in the Floral Department.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards in the department.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service; assist with balloons, wrapping and pricing.
• Receive, date, store, and price-mark products; ensure quality and proper rotation.
• Display and sign merchandise attractively; manage damaged goods.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and transporting items to the Floral Department.
