Job summary

Dierbergs Markets Inc. is seeking an Assistant Floral Manager to lead the floral department with creativity and independence.

You’ll receive, sort and rotate flowers, create simple corsages and arrangements, and assist customers with their orders in-store and for delivery. This role offers a friendly, customer-focused environment with opportunity to cross-train and advance into department or store management.

Qualifications

• Desire to provide floral arrangements and timely service with thought, style and expertise
• Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler) and tolerate a high-pollen and seed-spore environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and rotate cut flowers, bouquets and arrangements
• Create simple corsages, boutonnieres and floral arrangements
• Operate cash register and computer systems while processing all forms of payment (gift cards, checks, credits, debits and floral charges)
• Process customer orders for in-store purchases and delivery
• Arrange store merchandise to best showcase our creative selection of flowers, plants and gifts
