Qualifications

• Flooring sales experience in retail/showroom/in-home sales.
• Deep knowledge of hardwood, engineered, LVP, laminate, tile and carpet.

Bath & Floor Stiles is a growing home improvement company helping homeowners transform their spaces with quality flooring, bathroom, and remodeling solutions. Flooring is at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for a true flooring expert to own it.

We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Flooring Sales Specialist to meet with homeowners in their homes, understand their flooring project, recommend the right product for how they live, and guide them from first consultation to signed project. If you know the difference between engineered and solid hardwood, can talk a homeowner through LVP versus laminate, and can eyeball a subfloor issue before it becomes a callback, this role is built for you.

This is a flooring-first role. Experience selling bathrooms and other remodeling work is a welcome plus, but we want someone whose depth is in flooring.

You will be supported with company-generated leads while also having the opportunity to grow your earnings through referrals, networking, and self-generated business.

What You'll Do

• Meet with homeowners for scheduled in-home flooring consultations
• Learn about the customer's goals, needs, budget, and timeline
• Recommend the right flooring for each space: hardwood, engineered, LVP, laminate, tile, and carpet
• Guide homeowners through species, finishes, plank formats, durability, and care so they buy with confidence
• Take accurate measurements, assess subfloor and site conditions, and gather the information needed for a clean install
• Prepare and present estimates and proposals
• Explain product options, project scope, pricing, and next steps
• Present bathroom and related remodeling solutions when the opportunity is there
• Follow up with customers and help move opportunities toward a decision
• Maintain accurate notes, appointments, and sales activity in the company CRM
• Coordinate with office, operations, and installation teams as projects move forward
• Generate additional opportunities through referrals and local prospecting
• Provide a professional, positive experience from the first consultation through handoff

What We're Looking For

• Flooring sales experience strongly preferred: retail flooring, flooring showroom, or in-home flooring sales
• Genuine product knowledge across hardwood, engineered, LVP, laminate, tile, and carpet, including how each performs in real homes
• Ability to read a space: measure accurately, identify subfloor and moisture considerations, and flag install challenges early
• Additional experience in bathrooms, remodeling, windows and doors, or related home improvement is a plus
• Strong consultative selling and closing skills
• Comfortable meeting with homeowners in their homes
• Professional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build rapport and explain products clearly without jargon
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Strong follow-up and organization skills
• Comfortable using CRM software, tablets, measuring tools, and other sales technology
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned local territory
• Availability for some evening or weekend appointments based on customer schedules
