Role Description

This full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate quantity estimates for flooring materials, labor, and installation. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with their project team, customers, and clients to clarify project requirements. In addition, this position is responsible for updating quantities and drawings as project scopes evolve. The Project Estimator will maintain organized documentation. Collaboration, attention to detail, and timely delivery of estimates are essential to supporting successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction, preferably finish trade, reading design drawings, reading and interpreting project specifications, and understanding scope of work for commercial flooring projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills to produce accurate and competitive estimates.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and project documents.
• Excellent time management skills are a must. This role works to daily to hard deadlines, missing them is not an option.
• Knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in commercial construction, flooring, or related trades is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in South Charlotte, NC, with a professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
