Job summary

United Rentals in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Service Technician for our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. You will provide excellent customer service and may advance to higher technician roles within the Service Department.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, reporting conditions, simple repairs, equipment demonstrations, and assisting with pickups/deliveries. A valid license and ability to lift up to 45 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
