Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician for the Flooring and Facilities Solutions division.

You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental flooring equipment, ensuring safety and rental readiness while upholding exceptional customer service. Key duties include equipment checks, reporting conditions, completing repairs, demonstrating equipment to customers, and assisting with pickups and deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
