Job summary

Floor & Decor Allentown is seeking a designer to deliver finish-to-start consultative design services, building lasting relationships with customers and driving sales. You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects.

The role emphasizes managing multiple projects, using design tools, and collaborating with store leadership. Prior design experience and math skills help, with a design degree a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support walk-in design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
