Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Technical Design Associate in Dalton, GA to create proposals, seaming diagrams and layouts with sales and internal teams to optimize installation plans for customers and Mohawk.

The role requires AutoCAD expertise and collaboration across National Accounts, Strategic Account Managers, Sales Reps, and the POD team to ensure contract alignment and profitable outcomes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Expertise with AutoCAD is required, and Callidusflooring software is preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. required.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects individually, as well as as part of a work team.
• Create and edit proposals with accuracy with quick turn times using custom software.
• Follow instructions from management, sales and/or customers from concept to completion in a timely manner.
• Understand and follow manufacturing guidelines for product installations.
• Generate takeoff quantities for flooring products and accessories.
• Develop visuals for flooring products and prepare layouts for client approval.
• Present layout concepts via phone, web and in-person in a polished manner.
• Stay aware of current flooring trends and develop color schemes for clients.
