Job summary

SSC Services for Education, part of Compass Group, is hiring Floor Technicians in Kernersville, NC. The role covers floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment to keep facilities clean and safe for students.

We offer full- and part-time schedules with evenings (3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM). Pay ranges from $16.50 to $17.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spotting, vacuuming.
• Conduct maintenance and restoration for all floor types.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.

• Location : WinstonSalem Forsyth County Schools - 2500 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only .

• Schedule : Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)

• Requirement : One to two years of floor care experience is required.

• Pay Range: $16.50 per hour to $17.00 per hour
