Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Floor Technician in Kernersville, NC for full-time and part-time roles within a school environment. Responsibilities include floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment.

Scheduling includes 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM with most shifts on weekdays. Requires one to two years of floor care experience, knowledge of floor care equipment, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• One to two years of floor care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Able to follow safety procedures.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard-surface floor maintenance knowledge and procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet/upholstery care (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Conduct maintenance and restoration for all floor surfaces.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part timeFLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.
• Location: WinstonSalem Forsyth County Schools - 2500 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. (Openings at other locations within school district available)Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: One to two years of floor care experience is required.
• Pay Range: $16.50per hour to$17.00per hour

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
