Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring for a full-time Floor Technician at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. This role focuses on floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment, with a night shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures (stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing).
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• We are hiring immediately for full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.
• Location: Virginia Commonwealth University - 1008 East Clay Street, Richmond, VA 23298. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: 2 years of prior floor technician experience is required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $21.30 per hour.
